Kevin Lindsay has been Organist and Director of Music and Arts at First United Methodist Church in Rochester, New Hampshire since January of 1999. Kevin began playing keyboard at the age of four, and has been involved in playing and singing church music since childhood. He began studying organ at age eleven. Kevin graduated in 2000 from Plymouth State College with a Bachelor of Arts, Music degree in organ performance.
In the spring of 2000, Kevin led the First United Methodist Church in hosting the Choir of Men an Boys from Rochester Cathedral in Kent, England. Since then Kevin has been active in maintaining the musical exchange between Rochester Cathedral, England and First United methodist Church, New Hampshire. During multiple visits to Rochester, England he has benefited from observation and training with Roger Sayer, the Cathedral Organist and Choir Director and his assistants. In 2002, Kevin took some choristers to Washington, D.C. to join in the seventy-fifth anniversary service of the Royal School of Church Music at the National Cathedral. And in 2004 he took the Youth and Adult choirs from First United Methodist Church to Rochester, England to participated in the celebration of the 1400th anniversary of the Rochester Cathedral.
Kevin lives in Rochester, New Hampshire with his wife, Karen, and their two children, Kaitlin and Spencer. The whole family is involved in the music ministry of the church.
